The Asheville Community Band regrets to inform you that our Spring concert scheduled for Sunday, March 15, 2020, has been CANCELLED due to COVID-19 concerns. We hope you will join us at our next concert, scheduled for May 24, 2020!

The Asheville Community Band is pleased to announce our Annual Holiday concert!  This concert will include family-friendly pieces that are staples of the holidays, such as Sleigh Ride by Leroy Anderson, White Christmas, Chanukah Celebration, and many more.  We will have a guest appearance from Fairview Elementary’s Children’s chorus composed of 4th and 5th grade children, who will be singing with the band as well as be performing some pieces of their own!  You won’t want to miss this!  Such great “sound candy” for your ears!

Founded in October 1979, the Asheville Community Band is celebrating 40 years of bringing community-based music to Western North Carolina with our 40th Anniversary themed concert! Come and celebrate with us as we play a mix of old and new music alike. This concert will include highlights such as Espirit De Corps by Robert Jager, American Riversongs by Pierre La Plante, Overture “Zampa” by French composer Louis Joseph Ferdinand Hérold. Finally, one of the primary highlights of this concert is the beautiful “God’s Country” which captures the sweeping landscapes of America with soaring melodic lines.  Written by Rossano Galante, this is a beautiful piece you won’t want to miss hearing!
