How To Join the Asheville Community Band
Our band is always happy to accept new members! We move quickly and play challenging music across grades 3, 4 and 5. If you are interested in practicing and performing with our band, complete the below form so our director can assess your musical experience and background, and feel free to send us an email (via our Contact Us page).
Once our director has assessed your musical experience, you will be invited to audition with the director and with your section leader. Depending on the band’s current instrumentation, new members may be invited to join during a concert cycle or at the start of a new quarterly concert cycle.

Attendance Policy
There are always exceptions to be made, but if you know that you will be missing more than two rehearsals in a quarterly concert cycle, we ask that you please sit out rehearsals until the next quarterly concert cycle. Similarly, if you will not be able to attend the concert, we ask that you skip rehearsals for the concert cycle.
Our rehearsal calendar can be found here, but we generally rehearse Mondays from 7 - 9 p.m.
