Scholarships

We thank those of you who support the Asheville Community Band through donations! Because of your generosity, we are able to award scholarships to young talented musicians pursuing a college degree in music education as well as to younger musicians striving to improve their skills at summer music camp.

Summer Music Camp Scholarships

Summer Music Camp scholarships are awarded to middle or or high school students toward the cost of attending a summer music camp of their choosing, including the excellent Mars Hill University Summer Music Camp.  Scholarships may be awarded in full or partially with money to cover tuition, optional campus housing, activities, meals, etc. To see the full list of eligibility requirements, please download the application form below.

To apply for either scholarship, students must download the application form and complete the student portion, then provide the application to their band director to be completed and submitted. Students should provide their director a pre-stamped envelope so they may mail the application. The director may also scan and submit the application to ashevillecommunitybandwebsite@gmail.com
